Thailand is a nice country. It is reasonably easy to travel
around since it has good public buses and trains. Avoid the private
minibuses when possible unless you like closing your eyes and praying your
whole journey. I travelled mostly in the central, southern region-
Bangkok, Ko Chang, Ko Samet, Pattaya - for about 5 weeks. Bangkok
is a love it or hate it city for most people; I loved it but I'll admit
that it is polluted, has insane traffic, and is very full of people.
If you don't like Bangkok, don't waste your time there, get out and explore
the country till you find someplace you do like. As for practical
matters, most nationalities do not need visas or get them on arrival and
Bangkok is a great place to buy your plane tickets for later travels.
