So Costa Rica was pretty good. A little more expensive than I had expected but an enjoyable trip nonetheless. Along with two friends from school, I visited San Jose, La Fortuna, Monteverde/Santa Elena, Montezuma and Malpais/Santa Teresa. We spent 22 days there in total.

 This is one of the suspension bridges that traverse the canopy of the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The cloud forest is unique in that it is somewhat like a rain forest but formed because its high altitude puts it constantly in the clouds. |
 This gives a better view of the height of one of the bridges. Their heights range from about 30-50 meters and their lengths from 45-90 meters. A tours through the cloud forest on such bridges takes about 1.5-2 hours and costs $12-15. The forest can also be viewed quickly through a series of speedy zip-lines. |
